Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is based in our Montebello headquarters in Rockland County, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely posting of daily transactions including cash receipts, accounts payable, and journal entries
• Maintain and update the general ledger by ensuring all transactions are properly coded and recorded
• Review and manage Accounts Payable, Credit Card transactions, Reimbursements
• Reconcile: Credit Cards, Bank Accounts, Accounts Payable
• Maintain and organize accounting files in a systematic and easily accessible manner (digital)
• Assist in the month end close process in an accurate and timely manner
• Perform other Ad hoc accounting duties as assigned
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• 1-3 years of accounting experience
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month end close process
• Attention to detail: Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, Xero, Netsuite, or similar)
