Job Description

The Senior Supply Chain Executive is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain activities within an organization. This role is pivotal as it ensures that the supply chain is efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the strategic goals of the company. The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve processes, maximize product quality, and reduce costs. Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role. The Senior Supply Chain Executive will also be involved in strategic planning and decision-making to enhance the supply chain's contribution to the organization’s success.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the entire supply chain operations, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies and best practices for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with procurement and production teams to anticipate and meet inventory needs.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts and secure cost-effective deals.
  • Analyze supply chain data and metrics to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor logistics and distribution operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Develop contingency plans for disruptions in the supply chain to maintain continuity.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to supply chain staff to achieve performance targets.
  • Prepare supply chain budgets and forecasts, monitoring expenditures against operational plans.
  • Create and deliver reports on supply chain performance to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in supply chain management or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets effectively.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience dealing with suppliers and vendors.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, systems, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with team collaboration ability.
