Position Summary

One of the region’s largest orthopedic and sports medicine providers, Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute’s world-class team of orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians specialize in conditions and injuries of the spine, hand, upper extremities, foot, ankle and lower extremities, as well as joint replacement, concussions, interventional pain management, bone health and orthopedic trauma. The institute’s Downtown Complex brings the whole spectrum of orthopedic and spine care under one roof and includes an orthopedic specialty hospital featuring 75 private inpatient rooms, 10 advanced OR suites, and a research and innovation center with a bio skills lab and 3D printer. Institute physicians also lead a robust clinical research and education program. An adjacent medical pavilion houses a 63-exam-room outpatient clinic, imaging suite, physical therapy spaces and ambulatory surgery center. Position Summary

The Senior Financial Consultant serves as a strategic finance partner to executive and operational leaders, providing financial insight, oversight, and decision support across multiple business units. This role supports planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance while driving informed decision‑making and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a finance business partner to executive leadership on a regular basis.
  • Provide financial oversight of complex financial functions and processes, including support for multiple business units.
  • Support business planning activities, including annual operating and capital budgets, financial reporting, decision support, cost accounting, and regulatory filings.
  • Develop and prepare financial and statistical reports to support business development, strategic planning, and financial performance reviews.
  • Deliver accurate, timely financial data to internal and external stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and compliance.
  • Ensure accurate internal and external financial accounting and reporting.
  • Provide project management support, specialized expertise, and resources to ensure projects are completed effectively and on time.
  • Maintain current knowledge of reimbursement regulations and ensure organizational compliance
  • Provide ongoing financial oversight of reimbursement activities.
  • Manage accounting systems (e.g., general ledger, fixed assets), including upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners providing financial and accounting data.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies, ADA, FMLA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Comply with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education/Training

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field and five (5) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Master’s degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).

Licensure/Certification

  • Prior attainment of CPA may substitute for the Master’s degree requirement.

Experience

  • Five (5) years of experience in financial analysis and planning, accounting, reimbursement, public accounting or consulting.
  • Computer experience required with an emphasis on spreadsheet and database programs.
