The Senior Director, Product Operations is responsible for building and scaling the operating model that enables a high-performing, product-led organization. This role establishes portfolio governance, strategic planning, roadmap management, product development processes, go-to-market alignment, and performance measurement across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Client Success, and Operations. Serving as the connective tissue between strategy, product development, and commercialization, this leader ensures product investments translate into market adoption, revenue growth, and client value. The ideal candidate brings experience aligning product and go-to-market functions in healthcare technology environments and driving disciplined, outcome-oriented execution.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Governance and Strategic Planning

  • Operationalize the Product Council framework, including decision rights, intake processes, and investment guardrails
  • Lead annual portfolio strategy alignment and quarterly planning processes
  • Establish prioritization frameworks that balance growth, retention, regulatory, and platform investments
  • Partner with Finance to align capital allocation, forecasting, and capacity planning with product strategy

Go-to-Market Alignment and Commercialization

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Client Success leaders to align product strategy with market needs, buyer personas, and revenue goals
  • Establish a repeatable commercialization process, including launch planning, readiness criteria, and post-launch performance tracking
  • Standardize input for positioning, packaging, pricing, and sales enablement in partnership with commercial teams
  • Implement structured feedback loops to capture pipeline gaps, win-loss insights, client feedback, and adoption signals without creating ad hoc prioritization
  • Ensure product capabilities are aligned with implementation, adoption, and expansion strategies before launch

Operating Model and Delivery Excellence

  • Implement and continuously improve the product development lifecycle using scaled agile, hybrid, or other fit-for-purpose delivery models
  • Standardize roadmap management and release governance practices across product lines
  • Improve delivery predictability, cross-team dependency management, and alignment between product strategy, engineering execution, and go-to-market timing
  • Drive consistent operating rhythms, governance reviews, and decision-making forums that support scalable execution

Performance Measurement and Insights

  • Define and implement a product KPI framework tied to customer outcomes, adoption, retention, and revenue growth
  • Develop executive portfolio dashboards for leadership and Product Council review
  • Establish business case standards, including assumptions, expected outcomes, and post-launch revenue realization tracking
  • Lead post-launch reviews to assess performance against business objectives and inform future investment decisions

Cross-Functional Enablement

  • Improve collaboration across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Client Success, and Operations
  • Standardize intake and prioritization processes for market-driven and client-driven requests
  • Clarify roles, decision rights, and accountability across product and go-to-market functions
  • Lead change management efforts as the organization advances toward a more product-led, market-driven operating model

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the Product Operations function, with team scope aligned to organizational level and maturity
  • Build the capabilities, processes, and governance needed to support portfolio management, release management, and commercialization alignment over time

Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, product operations, product marketing, strategy, or related roles within healthcare technology or a similar environment
  • Experience in healthcare, revenue cycle, payer-provider technology, or other regulated environments strongly preferred

Core Competencies

  • Proven experience aligning product development with go-to-market functions, including Sales, Marketing, and Client Success
  • Strong understanding of commercialization, including product launches, pricing, packaging, and sales enablement
  • Experience implementing portfolio governance frameworks and scaled product development practices
  • Strong financial acumen, including business case development, investment prioritization, and revenue tracking
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and drive cross-functional alignment
