Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve patients’ speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to provide effective and efficient therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech and communication disorder management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and progress.
  • Provide counseling and support to patients and families managing long-term conditions.
  • Stay informed about new clinical practices and advancements in speech therapy treatments.
  • Teach techniques to improve communication, such as sign language or lip reading.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Valid state licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of speech and communication disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Familiarity with current speech therapy techniques and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address complex patient cases.
