Job Description

The Specialist Vendor Operations - Key Accounts role is a pivotal position within a company, focused on managing critical vendor relationships and ensuring operational efficiency in dealings with key accounts. The role demands a blend of strategic oversight and operational expertise to foster strong partnerships and optimize vendor performance. This includes evaluating vendor operations, identifying efficiencies, enhancing collaboration, and driving business outcomes that are aligned with the company's strategic goals. The professional will play an essential role in improving vendor relations and ensuring a seamless integration of vendor capability with company objectives. Candidates should possess excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and the interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various departments and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of vendor relationships.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with agreed service level agreements and regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for vendor relationship management improvement.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key vendor partners and key accounts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on vendor management strategies.
  • Facilitate regular review meetings to assess vendor performance benchmarks.
  • Negotiate contract terms with vendors to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Resolve operational issues and disputes swiftly to maintain vendor satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisitions.
  • Monitor industry trends to proactively address potential impacts on vendor operations.
  • Prepare and present reports on vendor management activities to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in vendor management or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data insights effectively.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and a track record of successful vendor agreements.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with various departments effectively.
  • Proficient in using vendor management software and analytical tools.
