We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Specialist – Innovation Center Technology for our DHL MEA Innovation Center (MEA IC) – a state-of-the-art facility focused on engaging customers,startups, and industries on the future of logistics. MEA IC is re-opening in November 2025 as part of our global footprint of DHL’s Innovation Centers in Germany, Singapore, and USA. In this hands-on role, you will be key to enabling a successful and seamless experience for DHL’s customers by (1) steering the day-to-day technical AV/IT systems and (2) support the delivery of exciting special AV/IT projects to continuously enhance MEA IC.
Principal Accountabilities
AV & IT Operations
Ensure full operability and optimal conditions (e.g., updates, maintenance) of all AV/IT systems in the showroom, meeting rooms, and offices.
Perform daily startup, setup, and shutdown of all equipment and exhibits; conduct regular checks to ensure proper functionality, safety, and readiness.
Provide timely troubleshooting and user support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Drive continuous process improvements to enhance technical efficiency and visitor experience.
Conduct training sessions and provide user guidance on AV/IT systems in meeting rooms, the showroom, and general building equipment.
Support the Global Technology Lead in shaping long-term strategies for AV infrastructure and digital systems across ICs.
Act as the primary point of contact for AV vendors, freelancers, and other technology suppliers supporting MEA IC operations.
Coordinate closely with MEA IC engagement and customer experience teams as well as external contractors to align on all technical needs.
Events & Conferences (Virtual or In-Person)
Provide hands-on AV/IT support during internal and external events, including:
Support the setup and operation of AV systems for small to mid-sized events; coordinate with external AV providers for large-scale productions.
Managing various platforms and ensuring smooth technical delivery.
Supporting presenters and facilitators with setup, moderation, and technical onboarding.
Troubleshooting live issues quickly and efficiently.
Assist with space setup (e.g., rearranging showroom elements, tech staging, connectivity checks).
Coordinate all tech-related logistics and planning with involved vendors, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
Perform regular maintenance and testing of all AV/IT infrastructure to ensure readiness.
Studio AV
Support production of virtual and hybrid event formats, including:
Streaming, camera setup, lighting, sound design, and video capture.
Managing studio booking and coordinating freelance technicians when needed.
Oversee vendor delivery of studio-related services and ensure quality control.
Provide participants and facilitators with clear technical instructions for using studio tools and platforms.
Participate in cross-center alignment calls to support global standardization and continuous improvement.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to studio equipment or broadcast performance.
Administrative Tasks & Innovation
Coordinate full-cycle procurement of AV/IT equipment and consumables, in collaboration with Vendor Management and Procurement.
Maintain oversight of software licenses, subscriptions, and AV/IT assets to ensure proper usage and compliance.
Contribute to budget planning and expense tracking for technology-related projects and operations.
Collaborate with global IC teams to ensure consistency and best practice sharing across all centers.
Contribute to innovation efforts by researching, testing, and implementing emerging technologies aligned with Innovation Centers’ concept and values
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
Diploma or BA in IT, Engineering, or related technical field; technical certifications are welcome.
1–2 years of hands-on experience operating AV/IT systems, including basic event setups, virtual studios, or similar customer-facing environments.
Strong interest in technology, innovation, and hands-on problem-solving.
Willingness to learn on the job and continuously build technical expertise.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure and networking basics; ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams or vendors on related topics.
Familiarity with vMix is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and post-production tools is a plus.
Knowledge of video conferencing tools and their functionalities.
Hands-on experience with cameras, switchers, sound boards, and AV signal flow.
Strong organizational and communication skills; able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Polished, professional presence and a customer-focused mindset.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Comfortable working with global teams across different time zones
Open to occasional travel and flexible working hours based on event schedules.
