About the role: 

We are seeking a Product Designer to join our team focusing on the Digital Consumer Travel experience. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of how customers book and manage their flights. You will work in a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and other designers to turn problems and opportunities into meaningful and impactful experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors, business objectives and market trends, and systems knowledge. Responsibility: 

• Identify and understand customer needs, behaviors, and pain points and use this to define opportunities and problem statements that inform the team’s work.
• Lead and support discovery activities such as user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to uncover customer needs and validate opportunities.
• Work in a fast-paced team of engineers, product managers, and designers to uncover customer problems and deliver impactful solutions across multiple web and mobile platforms.
• Consider the business needs, technical constraints, data, and platform requirements in order to produce impactful and valuable solutions.
• Creatively translate opportunities into elegant, intuitive, and effective experiences that deliver customer and business value
• Rapidly and pragmatically produce concepts and prototypes, understanding when further ideation, testing, or changing directions is needed.
• Run experiments frequently to validate your assumptions and optimize your solutions.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of product strategy and business requirements, with a strong focus on addressing customers’ needs and pain points.
• Regularly seek and give constructive feedback. You share and discuss your work openly at every stage without any “big reveals".

Profile Requirements: 

• 3-5 years of product design experience within a consumer focused organization and a proven record of successfully shipped mobile and web experiences.
• A design thinker and problem solver at heart, and you consistently strive to gain a deep understanding of the customers, business, and problems you are trying to solve.
• Comfortable planning and conducting research from interviews and usability tests to surveys, and you integrate insights into your design process.
• Communication skills to tell a story about your work and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent visual design skills and are proficient in design, prototyping, and whiteboarding tools (such as Figma, Framer, Miro). You have experience working with and contributing to a design system.
• Working with other designers and cross-functional team members and thrive on transparency and effective communication.
• You have an online portfolio or PDF you can share with us. Please include up to 3 projects that best represent your design thinking process and demonstrate the impact of your work. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
• Experienced in the entire product design cycle: From UX research, wireframes and prototypes to the final design, implementation and optimization.
• Proficient in design and prototyping tools (such as Figma, Framer, Proto.io).
• A strong visual design background with knowledge of Google Material Guidelines, Apple Human Interface Guidelines and design systems.
• Solid understanding and experience in the field of research: interviewing users, setting up surveys and usability tests as well as interpreting the results.
• Basic knowledge and experience leveraging data and analytics to inform design decisions.
• Previous experience working e-commerce and in evidence-driven teams is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
