To support the administration of Flight Operations manuals, documents, and programs by contributing to the development, drafting, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and operational instructions; coordinating with subject matter experts; liaising with internal and external regulatory bodies; and assisting in internal and external audits in alignment with oversight requirements and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinates the revision and amendment of OM-A policies, instructions, and procedures related to weight and center of gravity, aircraft performance, ground handling, flight time limitations, dispatch, and flight planning, in collaboration with subject matter experts from Flight Operations Engineering, Navigation Services, Electronic Flight Bag, Crew Scheduling and Planning, Flight Dispatch, and Airport Services.
Supports the Cold Weather Operations Program through the administration and seasonal update of the Cold Weather Operations Manual and Holdover Time Guidelines tables in preparation for each winter season.
Prepares, reviews, and coordinates the issuance of Aircrew Notices (ACNs) and internal memos to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.
Provides support during internal and external audits and assists in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions, as well as in the conduct of root cause analyses.
Proactively identifies discrepancies between Flight Operations manuals and applicable civil aviation regulations and advises on appropriate corrective actions.
Prepares compliance matrices and conducts gap analyses in coordination with relevant stakeholders to support audit readiness for regulatory inspections (e.g., GCAA) and industry audits (e.g., IOSA), ensuring alignment with applicable requirements and standards.
Coordinates the publication and revision of Flight Operations manuals, documents, and related publications in collaboration with the Technical Author to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely release.
Supports the implementation and quality control of Flight Operations regulatory compliance functions, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and internal procedures.
Assists in the development and refinement of policies, instructions, and procedures within the Operations Manual Part A (OM-A) and other applicable manuals, to ensure operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
Liaises with the GCAA and actively participates in the approval and acceptance processes for relevant Flight Operations manuals and documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timely submissions.
Represents the Flight Operations department in Safety Action Group (SAG) and Operational Risk Assessment (ORA) meetings, contributing operational insight and supporting safety and risk mitigation initiatives.
Monitors, analyzes, and responds to applicable EFOS reports, and provides recommendations on appropriate courses of action for effective closure.
Identifies interrelationships and dependencies between Flight Operations manuals and documents (e.g., OM-A, Cold Weather Operations Manual) and other company operational or corporate documents, ensuring consistency and accuracy of cross-references across all materials.
Liaises with the Compliance Monitoring department to submit document drafts for review, feedback, and formal approval in accordance with internal governance processes.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree (3+ years)
Fluent in English (other languages an advantage)
Minimum 7 years’ experience in airline operations
Years with qualifications: 7- 9 years
Any certification relevant to regulatory compliance
Current or former dispatcher or pilot license is preferable
