Specialist Maternal And Fetal Medicine- Government Hospitals

The Specialist Maternal & Fetal Medicine physician is responsible for providing specialized care to women with high-risk pregnancies and pregnancies complicated by maternal, fetal, or placental conditions. The role includes antenatal assessment, fetal surveillance, prenatal diagnosis, management of pregnancy complications, multidisciplinary coordination, and comprehensive counseling and follow-up in accordance with evidence-based clinical practice and UAE healthcare standards

Conduct comprehensive consultations and assessments for high-risk pregnancies.

Provide specialist antenatal care for pregnancies complicated by maternal or fetal conditions.

Assess and manage maternal medical disorders affecting pregnancy, including hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disease, autoimmune conditions, and other relevant conditions.

Perform and interpret fetal surveillance and antenatal assessments.

Evaluate fetal growth, wellbeing, anatomy, and placental conditions.

Perform or support advanced obstetric ultrasound and prenatal diagnostic assessments within approved clinical privileges.

Identify and manage fetal growth restriction, fetal anomalies, multiple pregnancies, abnormal Doppler findings, and other high-risk fetal conditions..

MBBS / MBChB or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.

Recognized postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Additional recognized training/fellowship or specialist qualification in Maternal & Fetal Medicine is preferred/required according to the position and licensing pathway.

Valid UAE Specialist License or Eligibility from the relevant health authority.

Current BLS certification; additional certifications may be required according to hospital policy and clinical scope.
