Specialist Gastrointestinal Surgeon

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Gastrointestinal Surgeon to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will specialize in the surgical management of gastrointestinal disorders, providing comprehensive care for patients with conditions affecting the digestive system.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and surgically manage diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
• Perform open and minimally invasive procedures involving the stomach, intestines, colon, and other digestive organs.
• Manage conditions such as intestinal obstruction, gastrointestinal cancers, hernias, and inflammatory bowel diseases requiring surgery.
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized surgical treatment plans.
• Provide pre-operative assessments and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists.
• Monitor patient recovery and manage post-surgical complications.
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow established clinical protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Relevant postgraduate qualification in General Surgery, with appropriate specialization or advanced training in Gastrointestinal Surgery.
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization experience preferred.
• Experience in open and laparoscopic gastrointestinal procedures.
• Strong surgical, diagnostic, and patient communication skills.
