Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Specialist Diagnostic Radiologist to join our leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in diagnostic imaging, radiological interpretation, image analysis, and clinical correlation, with a commitment to providing accurate, timely, and clinically meaningful diagnostic reports.

The successful candidate will work closely with physicians, surgeons, oncologists, emergency specialists, neurologists, orthopedists, obstetricians, pediatricians, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies across a broad range of clinical cases.
  • Interpret X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, mammography, fluoroscopy, and other diagnostic imaging examinations within the physicians training and clinical scope.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely radiology reports with relevant findings and differential diagnoses where appropriate.
  • Correlate imaging findings with clinical history, examination findings, laboratory results, and previous imaging studies.
  • Recommend appropriate additional imaging or follow-up investigations when clinically indicated.
  • Communicate urgent, critical, or unexpected imaging findings promptly to the referring physician or clinical team.
  • Review imaging requests and ensure that the selected examination is appropriate for the patients clinical indication.
  • Assist clinicians in selecting the most appropriate diagnostic imaging modality for complex cases.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions when required.
  • Provide imaging consultation to referring physicians regarding diagnostic findings and appropriate follow-up.
  • Perform or supervise image-guided diagnostic procedures within approved clinical privileges and expertise.
  • Evaluate contrast-enhanced studies and ensure appropriate patient assessment and contrast safety.
  • Work closely with radiographers and sonographers to ensure appropriate imaging protocols and high-quality diagnostic studies.
  • Review difficult or complex cases and seek appropriate subspecialty consultation when required.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation of radiology findings within PACS/RIS and electronic medical records.
  • Maintain high standards of radiation safety and appropriate use of ionizing radiation.
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance, peer review, audit, and reporting improvement initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement of imaging protocols, reporting standards, and diagnostic workflows.
  • Participate in emergency and on-call radiology services where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential patient records.
  • Participate in continuing medical education, teaching, clinical research, and professional development.
  • MBBS, MD, or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Diagnostic Radiology / Radiology or an equivalent specialty.
  • Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
  • Strong experience in diagnostic radiology and medical imaging.
  • Excellent interpretation and reporting skills across multiple imaging modalities.
  • Strong knowledge of cross-sectional imaging, including CT and MRI.
  • Good understanding of radiation protection and imaging safety.
  • Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record systems.
  • Strong clinical correlation and diagnostic decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
