A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join its advanced cardiac care team.

The successful candidate will provide specialized anesthetic care for patients undergoing cardiac and cardiothoracic procedures, working closely with cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, perfusionists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Candidates with UK CCT, Western qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, and South African Board credentials are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive anesthetic management for cardiac and cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
  • Conduct detailed pre-operative assessments of patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
  • Manage anesthesia for coronary artery bypass, valve surgery, aortic procedures, and other cardiac interventions.
  • Provide intraoperative hemodynamic monitoring and advanced cardiovascular anesthetic management.
  • Perform and interpret appropriate advanced monitoring techniques, including transesophageal echocardiography where qualified.
  • Manage perioperative complications and critically ill cardiac patients.
  • Provide post-operative care and support within cardiac intensive care settings.
  • Work closely with cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, perfusionists, and nursing teams.
  • Participate in emergency cardiac surgical services as required.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement, and continuing professional development.
  • MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology/Anaesthesiology.
  • Additional fellowship or advanced training in Cardiac Anesthesia / Cardiothoracic Anesthesia preferred.
  • Significant post-specialization experience in cardiac anesthesia.
  • Proven experience managing high-risk cardiac and cardiothoracic surgical patients.
  • Candidates with UK CCT / FRCA, American Board, Australian Board / FANZCA, South African specialist qualifications, or equivalent internationally recognized credentials are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in a tertiary cardiac center or major hospital preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced hemodynamic monitoring and perioperative cardiovascular management.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
