What will I be doing?

Responsibilities

As a Spa Therapist, you are responsible for delivering professional spa treatments and supporting the smooth daily operation of the spa while creating personalised and memorable guest experiences. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Welcome and assist guests throughout their spa journey, providing warm, discreet, and personalised service.
• Deliver professional massages, facial and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and guest preferences.
• Conduct consultations, understand guest needs, and provide appropriate treatment and home-care recommendations.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all spa treatments, services, products, facilities, and current promotions.
• Explain treatments and services clearly and provide guidance on appropriate products and packages.
• Promote spa treatments and retail products to enhance the guest experience and support revenue performance.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and safety throughout the spa.
• Ensure treatment rooms, locker rooms and lounges, remain clean, organised, and well presented.
• Ensure water, beverages, fruit stations, and other guest amenities are fully stocked and presented to standard.
• Support accurate appointment management, including bookings, confirmations, amendments, and cancellations.
• Process treatment and retail charges accurately and report any billing discrepancies to the Spa Manager.
• Report maintenance issues, equipment faults, and safety concerns promptly to the Spa Manager.
• Assist with daily spa operations and other duties as required by the Spa Manager.
• Uphold Waldorf Astoria Brand Standards, Forbes Five-Star standards, and True Waldorf Service throughout all guest interactions.

• Experience as a Spa Therapist within a luxury hospitality environment.
• Relevant qualification or certification in massage, beauty therapy, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of spa treatments, products, hygiene, and health and safety standards.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to understand and follow operating procedures, safety guidelines, and treatment protocols.
• Excellent grooming and professional presentation standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, discreet, and guest-focused approach.
• Ability to identify guest needs and provide personalised treatment recommendations.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining Forbes Five-Star service standards.
  
  

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Previous experience in a Forbes Five-Star or luxury hotel spa.
• Additional recognised spa or wellness certifications.
