Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in the development and implementation of menus.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Supervise all kitchen personnel, providing training and performance feedback.
  • Ensure all food is prepared consistently and meets restaurant quality standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Maintain kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Monitor and ensure kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Lead by example in executing tasks with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Assist in managing kitchen budgets and control food costs effectively.
  • Develop new recipes and contribute innovative ideas for menu improvements.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure sanitation, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Manage special dietary requests and demonstrate flexibility and attentiveness.

Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a similar role is required.
  • Proven experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably as a Sous Chef.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor staff.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and health regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by scheduling needs.
