Job Description

A sonographer plays a critical role in the healthcare industry, using specialized imaging equipment to guide patients through ultrasound examinations that help doctors with diagnoses. As a sonographer, you will operate ultrasound machines to capture images of blood flow, soft tissue, and internal organs. Responsibilities

  • Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound technology and methodologies.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance for optimal functioning.
  • Assist with the scheduling and coordination of imaging appointments.
  • Offer guidance and training to junior sonography staff and interns.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to patient imaging and documentation.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in sonography or a related medical field.
  • Certification by relevant medical Sonography bodies, such as ARDMS or equivalent.
  • Excellent understanding of human anatomy and ultrasound imaging techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail with superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in operating complex ultrasound equipment and related technology.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a compassionate patient-first attitude.
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of standing long periods during exams.
