Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer (01A26) to join our healthcare team. As a Sonographer, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians with diagnosing and monitoring a variety of medical conditions. Using advanced ultrasound equipment, you will produce and interpret high-quality images of the human body, focusing on soft tissue anatomy. Your expertise will be essential in prenatal diagnostics, cardiovascular conditions, and detecting abnormalities. The ideal candidate will exhibit attention to detail, superior interpersonal skills for patient interaction, and a strong technical aptitude. Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound examinations of patients to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Analyze images to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions and determining treatments.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current ultrasound practices and equipment operation.
  • Ensure that ultrasound equipment is properly calibrated and in excellent working condition.
  • Explain procedures to patients and answer any questions to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Work closely with medical staff to share findings and discuss possible courses of action.
  • Document all findings accurately in medical records and provide comprehensive reports to doctors.
  • Adhere to established safety and infection control standards during examinations.
  • Participate in continued education and training sessions to enhance professional skills.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures for sonographic services.
  • Manage scheduling of patients and prioritization of emergency ultrasound procedures.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
  • Certification from an accredited sonography credentialing organization, such as ARDMS or CCI.
  • Proven experience in performing various ultrasound procedures with high accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to imaging techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and medical staff.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality and care.
