For our BIG TEAM in GLORIA OSTERIA Dubai, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Sommelier! 🤩

Your areas of responsibility:

🍷 Deliver An Outstanding Guest Experience

• Create authentic and memorable experiences, embodying the warmth and generosity of Italian hospitality.
• Confidently guide guests through the food and wine menu, recommending thoughtful wine pairings.
• Build strong relationships with guests by recognizing preferences, creating personalized experiences, and handling feedback professionally.
  
  
  

• Act as the restaurant's wine reference point, sharing your expertise with guests and the team.
• Train and support colleagues on wine knowledge, service techniques, and pairing recommendations.
• Recognized Sommelier certification (e.g., WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, AIS, or equivalent).
• Understanding of the supplier chain and ordering.
  
  
  

• Oversee the organization and maintenance of the wine cellar and wine list.
• Ensure proper storage conditions, stock rotation (FIFO), and optimal serving temperatures.
• Monitor inventory, conduct regular stock counts, manage purchasing, and collaborate with suppliers to maintain availability while controlling costs and minimizing waste.
  
  
  

• Support the overall Food & Beverage operation whenever required.
• Contribute to achieving departmental revenue and profitability objectives through effective wine management and operational excellence.
