About The Job

An opportunity has arisen for a Sommelier to join our team of Iliana at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

• Embrace the Heart of Jumeirah ethos to uphold the brands values and standards in all aspects of wine service.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of various types of wines, wineries, and wine regions to provide informed recommendations to guests.
• Take charge of creating and updating wine menus, as well as managing the wine cellar to ensure a diverse and high-quality selection.
• Utilize strong knowledge of food and wine beverage pairings to enhance guests dining experiences.
• Supervise wine service and collaborate with winemakers to continually upgrade wine selections and offerings.
• Interact with guests across F&B outlets to assist with their wine choices and enhance their overall experience.
  
  

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• A few years of experience in the same role with a strong F&B background in a 5-star luxury property or a fine-dining standalone/branded restaurant.
• Proficient in English and a second language (European languages are desirable).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Micros, and Sevenrooms.
• Expert in Wine, WSET certification required.
• Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
