We are seeking a Solution Architect with domain expertise in designing solutions for payments, core, and card systems within financial institutions in the UAE. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of financial technology, ensuring seamless integration and innovation in mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand requirements related to payments and card systems, and provide detailed solution designs with non-functional requirements in mind.
• Create technical solutions aligned with the company’s business strategy and Enterprise Architecture roadmap.
• Present architectural and solution options to senior management.
• Manage and review application, data, and technology components from an enterprise architecture perspective.
• Maintain technology options that support the bank’s software systems.
• Ensure documentation of systems architecture and interactions is current and complete.
• Consider scalability, disaster recovery, and system performance in all aspects of systems architecture.
• Facilitate effective integration of all systems within the bank, especially when new systems are implemented.
• Define Technology Roadmap and govern technology portfolio from an Enterprise/Digital Application Architecture perspective.
• Provide solutions in line with Agile and DevOps-oriented project delivery.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of Payments, Card Issuing & Acquiring message and transaction flows.
• Experience integrating in-house applications with third-party Fintechs.
• Knowledge of Card Issuing & Acquiring, including gateways, ATM, and Switch.
• Understanding of ISO8583, MT & MX messages.
• Experience defining API Specifications for REST or Web Services.
• Knowledge of API & Interface governance, design standards, and principles.
• Experience transforming user journeys with the latest technologies.
• Knowledge in Cloud Deployments.
• Experience evaluating technology partners and defining their KPIs.
• Managing the lifecycle of solutions, technology watch, and developing proofs of concept for Payments & Cards systems.
• Working knowledge in application development/integration, preferably Java, Spring framework, Angular, React Native, React web, TIBCO, WebSphere.

Other Requirements

• AWS, Azure Professional certification is an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in Cloud, DevOps, Agile development methodology.
• Awareness of Security standards, Data confidentiality, PII information, and best practices in application architecture.

Experience

10+ years in Cards & payment processing systems, Acquiring & Issuing Processes, ATMs, ISO8583, SWIFT, PACS, UAE specific payments.
