As a Solutions Architect- dnata, you will architect, design, and communicate a systems high-level structural and behavioural aspects to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs in alignment with corporate IT standards and architecture guiding principles. This necessitates engagement throughout the lifecycle of projects by taking full responsibility for the solution architecture.
In This Role, You Will
Develop optimal, fit-for-purpose, and aligned IT architecture solutions that meet customer requirements. Ensure architecture is robust, appropriate, and high-quality, conforming to corporate IT standards and roadmaps. Take accountability for the end-to-end architecture, including architecture and technology decisions.
Develop Enterprise Architecture standards and guidelines in the information, application, and technology domains. Work closely with Manager Enterprise Architecture and other peer architects in the development of technology advancements and adaptation of new technologies and patterns.
Continuously monitor industry trends, identify and evaluate relevant technologies and tools, and showcase business value by executing Proof of Concepts by engaging relevant IT teams.
Establish policy, guidelines, and strategy for selecting system components and their designs. Assess solution designs to ensure they effectively use architectural patterns and adhere to the guidelines. Promote the reuse of solutions, platforms, and services. Contribute to the enterprise architecture repository.
Guide, mentor, and motivate the development team members in adopting good engineering practices, tools, and techniques throughout the development process. In addition, advise and support team members in overcoming technical challenges by providing expert consultancy and coaching.
Conduct architecture reviews of vendor products as part of the selection process and other critical production applications with Software Engineering development teams. Provide architecture recommendations for the short and long-term improvement of applications.
Develop logical infrastructure solutions in alignment with the technology standards. Work closely with infrastructure teams to ensure that the physical infrastructure designed meets project requirements. Work together, oversee, and govern the development to ensure the development teams design and implementation align with the proposed architecture definition. Work closely with the quality engineering team to ensure that the final solution meets the agreed non-functional requirements.
Collaborate closely with Manager Enterprise Architects to ensure alignment of information, application, and technology architecture to the overall architecture principles, framework, and guidelines.
Own, manage, and maintain the architecture roadmap and runways of small-to-medium-sized initiatives, products, environments, and/or platforms. Act as a product owner and be accountable for proactively identifying, prioritizing, and overseeing the development of technical enablers, technical debts, quality improvements, and application modernization activities.
Drive architecture decisions and be accountable for their implications regarding solution costs, delivery schedules, application complexity, technical debt, and overall solution performance.
Qualification
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent IT-related discipline.
Experience
8+ Years of Information Technology experience with 5+ years designing and delivering large-scale, complex, distributed, mission-critical applications.
Strong ability to translate business requirements into solution architectures and technical designs, compliant witn NFRs (scalability, availability, performance, security).
Hands-on experience providing technical leadership to architects, developers, and cross-functional teams.
Technology Landscape Knowledge
Solid understanding of modern application development practices, including: Cloud-native design (stateless services, horizontal scaling, containers, Kubernetis / OpenShift, managed cloud services) Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture (Domain-Driven Design -DDD, event streams, event sourcing, service mesh, workflow orchestration) API-first development (REST, gRPC, GraphQL, async messaging, webhooks, event streams, APIs as products - versioning, governance, rate limits) CI/CD and DevSecOps (Automated CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure as a code, shift-left security, GitOps) Observability & Reliability Engineering (centralized logging, distributed tracing, metrics & dashboards, resilience patterns) Security by Design User-Centric & Frontend Modern Practices Modern Data Practices Low-Code / No-Code Enablement Agentic architecture concepts, AI-Native / Agentic Application Patterns (autonomous agents / multi-agent systems, AI orchestration frameworks, LLM-powered workflows, AI-powered integration patterns , RAG pipelines, prompt engineering patterns, AI governance & auditability). Strong experience with microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture patterns. In-depth experience with one or more technology areas such as Java, cloud platforms, data platforms, mobile/web frontend frameworks, low-code platforms, Big Data
Architecture Methods & Standards Proficiency in architecture methods, models, and patterns. Ability to produce architecture artefacts using C4, ArchiMate, UML, and other modelling notations.
Delivery Approach Experience working in agile environments (Scrum, SAFe) and guiding architecture within iterative delivery. Ability to make architecture decisions using trade-off analysis, maintain ADRs, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
Soft Skills Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to simplify complexity for non-technical audiences. Ability to influence delivery teams, manage risks, and provide direction across multiple teams.
Experience in aviation or airline domain in an added advantage.
