Solutions Architect Digital Payments FinTech

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect – Digital Payments / FinTech to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and innovative digital financial solutions. The role will be responsible for translating business requirements into end-to-end technical architectures across digital payments, wallets, card systems, remittances, merchant acquiring, open banking, and financial services platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in payment ecosystems, system integration, cloud architecture, APIs, security frameworks, and digital banking technologies while collaborating with product, business, engineering, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution architectures for digital payment platforms, mobile wallets, merchant acquiring, payment gateways, remittances, and embedded finance solutions.
• Define architecture blueprints, integration patterns, and technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Lead architecture discussions with business stakeholders, product teams, development teams, vendors, and financial institutions.
• Design and oversee API-led integrations with banks, payment processors, card schemes, fintech partners, KYC providers, AML systems, and third-party platforms.
• Architect secure payment solutions in compliance with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Develop scalable microservices, cloud-native, and event-driven architectures supporting high transaction volumes and availability requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and frameworks to support business growth and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure solution designs meet performance, reliability, scalability, security, and disaster recovery requirements.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project lifecycles from solution design to deployment and post-production support.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure adherence to architecture standards and governance frameworks.
• Conduct architecture reviews, technical assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Support pre-sales activities, solution proposals, effort estimations, and client presentations when required.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's Degree or relevant certifications are advantageous.
• TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, or equivalent certifications preferred.
  
  
  

• 8–12+ years of experience in software architecture, enterprise architecture, or solution architecture roles.
• Minimum 5 years of experience within Digital Payments, FinTech, Banking, or Financial Services.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale payment platforms and financial technology solutions.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, transaction flows, settlement, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working with banks, payment service providers, fintech companies, and regulatory stakeholders.

• Do you have relevant experience of designing solution architectures within Digital Payments, FinTech, Banking, or Financial Services environments?
• Have you architected and delivered end-to-end payment solutions such as digital wallets, payment gateways, merchant acquiring, card processing, remittances, or P2P payment platforms?
• Do you have hands-on experience integrating banking systems, payment processors, card schemes (Visa/Mastercard), KYC, AML, or fraud management platforms through APIs?
• Have you designed cloud-based and microservices architectures using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for high-volume transactional systems?
• Do you have practical knowledge of payment security and compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or financial regulatory requirements?
• Are you currently working, or have you previously worked, in a Digital Payments, FinTech, Banking, Wallet, or Financial Services organization?
