The Software Sales Consultant is a dynamic and pivotal role in bridging the gap between our cutting-edge software solutions and our clients’ needs. As a Software Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for driving sales by establishing and nurturing relationships with potential clients, understanding their business requirements, and offering tailored solutions that demonstrate the value of our products. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate the complexities of software solutions to enhance their operations and achieve business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical knowledge, sales acumen, and excellent communication skills. Your ability to understand software solutions and convey their benefits in a comprehensible manner to clients will be crucial for success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue targets.
  • Identify potential clients and generate leads through networking and research.
  • Conduct detailed needs assessments to understand the client’s business challenges.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations tailored to client needs.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to close sales and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to tailor solutions to client requirements.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the software market trends and competitor offerings.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the marketing team to enhance promotional strategies.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, including sales forecasts and pipeline updates.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and support for post-sales technical issues and queries.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to promote company products and network opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in software sales or similar consultative sales roles.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and technologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets consistently.
  • Proficiency in CRM software to manage client interactions and sales processes.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
