Job Description

As a Social Media Content Moderator, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality and integrity of our online community. Your primary responsibility will revolve around monitoring user-generated content across various social media platforms to ensure compliance with community guidelines and policies. You will be instrumental in protecting the community from inappropriate content while promoting a positive environment for user interaction. Your ability to identify and escalate potential issues, including harmful content, bullying, or hate speech, will be crucial. Additionally, you will work closely with the community management and customer service teams to address and resolve user concerns swiftly and efficiently. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to fostering a safe online space can significantly contribute to the growth and success of our digital platforms.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor various social media platforms daily for user-generated content violations.
  • Review and moderate comments, posts, and messages to ensure adherence to community guidelines.
  • Identify and take appropriate action on content that violates company policies.
  • Escalate content that is deemed harmful or potentially illegal to the relevant department.
  • Collaborate with the community management team to address user-related issues and feedback.
  • Communicate with users to provide guidance on compliant content posting practices.
  • Update and maintain moderation guidelines and ensure team adherence to these protocols.
  • Compile reports on moderation activities and provide insights into user behavior trends.
  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure content compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with training new moderators by sharing best practices and insights.
  • Stay informed on the latest social media trends and platform policies to ensure relevant moderation.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss challenges and strategies in content moderation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in content moderation or a related field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify inappropriate or harmful content.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their community guidelines is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Experience with content moderation tools and software will be advantageous.
