SOC And MSS Consultant - SOC L2

We are looking for an experienced SOC L2 – SOC & MSS Consultant to support the hands-on operation, tuning and continuous improvement of security platforms across our managed client environments.

Key Responsibilities

• SIEM operations, correlation rule tuning, custom parsers and log-source onboarding

• Detection engineering and MITRE ATT&CK use-case coverage

• SOAR playbook and workflow development for automated triage, enrichment and response

• EDR/AV administration, alert investigation, containment and threat hunting

• Email security operations, including anti-phishing, anti-malware, impersonation protection, SPF, DKIM and DMARC

• DLP policy management and data classification

• L2 incident investigation, incident response and post-incident improvements

• Client reporting, health checks, tuning recommendations and MSS onboarding

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field

• 3–5 years of SOC experience, including at least 2 years at L2 level

• Hands-on experience with an enterprise SIEM, with FortiSIEM strongly preferred

• Experience developing SOAR playbooks, with FortiSOAR preferred

• Practical experience managing EDR/AV platforms in enterprise or multi-client environments

• Bitdefender GravityZone experience required

• Experience with FortiMail, Proofpoint or Mimecast required

• Working knowledge of DLP and data classification

• Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and incident response

• Comfortable working rotational shifts in a 24x7 managed SOC environment

• Strong documentation and client communication skills

Preferred

• Python or PowerShell scripting

• Microsoft Defender, Entra ID and Intune

• PAM/PRA and vulnerability management platforms

• Security certifications such as NSE4+, Security+, CySA+, GCIH or equivalent
