Site Supervisor -Steel Structural (225-1017)

The Site Supervisor - Steel Structural will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of construction projects related to steel structures. This role involves coordinating with construction teams, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and delivering project milestones within the scheduled timelines. The Site Supervisor will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure all aspects of the construction meet the specified quality standards and design specifications. Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and an in-depth understanding of steel structural works are essential to succeed in this role. This position also requires proficiency in problem-solving and a proactive approach to handling the challenges that arise on-site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with safety and design standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to align project goals.
• Monitor work progress according to construction timelines and deadlines.
• Inspect work performed to ensure it meets the quality criteria and specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of all on-site activities, including worker hours and material usage.
• Identify potential issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with local building and construction regulations.
• Facilitate communication between construction teams and clients to provide updates.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to management on a regular basis.
• Train and mentor new site workers to align with project protocols and standards.
• Oversee the installation and erection of steel structures on site.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure all workers adhere to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a supervisor or similar role in steel structural projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, particularly involving steel structures.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and design schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and construction industry standards.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
• Availability for travel to project sites as required and long working hours.
