To lead and control daily site operations across infrastructure projects, ensuring works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project programme. The Site Superintendent is responsible for coordinating site resources, supervising construction teams and subcontractors, and driving productivity to achieve project milestones.
Key Accountabilities
Lead day-to-day site execution activities in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and project programme.
Manage site supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, labour, plant, and equipment to achieve production targets and project milestones.
Coordinate work sequencing and interfaces between civil, structural, utilities, landscaping, and MEP activities to ensure smooth project delivery.
Monitor progress against programme and implement corrective actions or recovery plans where required.
Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, inspection procedures, and approved construction methodologies.
Enforce HSE standards, permit-to-work requirements, toolbox talks, and safe working practices across all site activities.
Coordinate material deliveries, plant allocation, and resource planning to maintain continuous work fronts.
Identify and resolve site constraints, technical issues, access challenges, and construction risks in a timely manner.
Liaise with consultants, clients, survey teams, QA/QC, HSE, and technical departments to facilitate inspections and approvals.
Ensure accurate reporting of daily progress, manpower, equipment utilisation, and site performance.
Support project handover activities, including punch list closure, as-built coordination, and final inspections.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related construction discipline (preferred).
8+ years of construction experience within infrastructure projects.
5+ years in a Superintendent, General Foreman, or Senior Site Supervision role.
Proven experience delivering infrastructure works including roads, utilities, drainage, earthworks, structures, and public realm projects.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and quality requirements.
Good knowledge of UAE construction practices, HSE requirements, and consultant/client inspection processes.
Ability to manage multiple work fronts, subcontractors, and large site teams simultaneously.
Strong reporting, coordination, and resource management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction reporting systems.
