Job Description

The role of a Site Logistics Manager is a critical one in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of logistics at a site level. This position requires a high level of expertise in managing logistics operations, including the coordination and control of the supply chain processes, from the point of origin to the point of consumption. As a Site Logistics Manager, your main objective will be to ensure that client requirements are met, deliveries are on time, costs are minimized, and the quality is upheld. You will oversee the planning and management of all logistical activities, including inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and distribution, all while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential as you will be required to liaise with various departments and manage logistics staff. Your ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently will also be crucial in this fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of site logistics to ensure timely and efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Supervise the logistics team to ensure productivity and adherence to safety standards.
  • Prepare and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effective practices.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to achieve the best terms.
  • Monitor and forecast inventory levels to ensure adequate stock at all times.
  • Oversee transportation and distribution operations to prevent delays or bottlenecks.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
  • Implement warehouse management systems to optimize storage and retrieval operations.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support product development and production.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, stakeholders, and partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics management or a similar position is required.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management software applications.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills are necessary for this role.
  • Willingness to travel and be on-site as needed to oversee operations.
