Job Description

A Site Logistics Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all logistical operations at a given site run smoothly and efficiently. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods, ensuring that these processes meet the required timelines and quality standards. You will work closely with suppliers, partners, and internal teams to optimize the flow of materials and resources. A successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen understanding of supply chain management principles. You will be tasked with mitigating logistical risks and implementing cost-effective strategies, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of the site’s logistics operations.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement site logistics strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Oversee the transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes at the site level.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and partners to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials and goods.
  • Analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements in logistics operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in all logistics activities.
  • Prepare and manage logistics budgets to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Lead and develop a team of logistics professionals to achieve operational goals.
  • Develop crisis management strategies to address potential logistical challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination of logistics activities.
  • Adopt new technologies to enhance the logistics management processes.
  • Track progress and report on logistics performance metrics regularly to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in logistics management or a similar role.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills are essential for this role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are crucial for success.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Knowledge of logistics software and tools for optimizing operations is a plus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines effectively.
