Job Description

The Site Logistics Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and coordinating the logistics operations at our site. This position requires a strategic thinker who can manage the intricate balance between supply chain activities, inventory management, and team leadership to ensure efficient and smooth operations. The Site Logistics Manager will be responsible for streamlining all processes related to site logistics, from coordination of delivery schedules to materials management. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments to meet site requirements effectively. As a key member of our management team, the Site Logistics Manager will play a crucial role in driving logistical efficiency and supporting the overall productivity of the site.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all site-based logistics operations and supply chain activities.
  • Oversee inventory management to ensure accuracy and minimize stock discrepancies.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Monitor transportation activities and resolve potential logistical bottlenecks promptly.
  • Manage and lead the logistics team, providing training and performance assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and standards.
  • Plan and coordinate vehicle schedules to optimize material handling and distribution.
  • Utilize logistics software for data analysis and reporting to drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with department managers to align logistics operations with business needs.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive logistics documentation and tracking system.
  • Respond promptly to logistics-related inquiries and provide effective solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record in team management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple logistics operations simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to logistical details.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • In-depth understanding of logistics, transportation, and warehousing concepts.
