Job Profile – Site Engineer

Position Summary

The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing the execution of interior fit-out projects on site, ensuring that work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, budget, and project schedule. The role involves coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Supervise daily site activities and monitor work progress.
• Ensure fit-out works are executed as per approved drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinate site operations with subcontractors, suppliers, and labor teams.
• Monitor project schedules and assist in achieving project milestones.

Site Coordination

• Coordinate with designers, project managers, consultants, and clients.
• Attend site meetings and prepare progress reports.
• Resolve technical issues and provide practical site solutions.
• Ensure timely availability of materials, manpower, and equipment.

Quality Control

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Verify workmanship and materials before installation.
• Prepare snag lists and oversee rectification works.
• Ensure project handover requirements are met.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with UAE health and safety regulations.
• Monitor safe working practices on site.
• Maintain site documentation, permits, and inspection records.

Documentation & Reporting

• Review shop drawings and technical documents.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Track variations, site instructions, and work progress.
• Assist in quantity verification and material tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in interior fit-out and construction projects.
• Experience in residential, commercial, retail, or office fit-out projects in the UAE.
• Valid UAE driving license is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of interior fit-out materials and construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of MEP coordination and site execution.
• Familiarity with UAE building regulations and authority requirements.
