Site Engineer - Fire Fighting (Mechanical)

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of firefighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps, FM200, CO, and other suppression systems).Review drawings, specifications, and method statements to ensure work execution aligns with approved documents.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, and main contractors for inspections, approvals, and site progress.

Prepare and submit material inspection requests (MIR), work inspection requests (WIR), and daily progress reports.

Ensure materials and equipment comply with approved submittals and standards (NFPA / Civil Defense).

Supervise subcontractors and manpower to ensure timely and quality installation.

Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and documentation for project handover.

Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations on-site.

Attend site coordination meetings and resolve technical or site-related issues.

Support in hydrostatic testing, pump room commissioning, and final system approvals from Civil Defense.

Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

3 -8 years of experience in MEP or Fire Fighting system installation in building or infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, UAE Civil Defense codes, and Fire Protection System design and installations.

Familiar with AutoCAD, MS Office, and construction site documentation.

Excellent coordination and communication skills.
