Site Electrical Engineer

The role of a Site Electrical Engineer involves overseeing all aspects of electrical engineering projects at assigned construction sites. This professional is responsible for ensuring the electrical systems are designed, installed, maintained, and operated in compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and industry standards. The position requires a meticulous approach to safety, quality assurance, and timeline adherence. A Site Electrical Engineer plays a critical role in project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring that all electrical engineering works fulfill technical guidelines and specifications. This role demands collaboration with other engineering disciplines, effective communication with stakeholders, and a proactive attitude to troubleshoot and resolve on-site electrical issues. 

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement electrical systems to meet project requirements and standards.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and electrical codes and regulations on the site.
• Conduct site surveys to assess potential installation challenges and requirements.
• Review electrical engineering plans and designs with a focus on quality assurance.
• Coordinate with project managers to synchronize the electrical work with overall project schedules.
• Monitor electrical installations, troubleshooting issues, and providing solutions.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure materials meet project expectations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to on-site construction teams and stakeholders.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure project deliverables meet client specifications and industry standards within budget constraints.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new electrical systems and engineering advancements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer on construction sites.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations ensuring compliance and safety.
• Experience in project management with excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Proficient in design and calculation software commonly used in electrical engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Effective communication skills in dealing with project team members and stakeholders.
