This Position reports to:

Service Sales Manager


Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive service sales processes, generate service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within the designated areas. Each day, you will focus on Installed Base (IB) penetration and selling the entire Service product portfolio. You will also showcase your expertise by building long-term customer relationships and ensuring immediate response to specific customer needs and issues.

This role is contributing to the {Service Sales Engineer} in {UAE}.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Penetrating into IB, promoting various upgrades, retrofits, and value-add solutions to the benefit of the customers and ABB.
  • Understanding the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices, and preparing sales plans, reviewing them, and proposing recovery plan(s) when needed.
  • Generating service sales leads and develops new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information and through identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios.
  • Acting as a marketer/salesperson of ABB’s service products and solutions during marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).
  • Expertise in the knowledge of drives and motors.
  • Knowledge sharing and training other sales and sales support colleagues.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promoting customer
  • Priorities maintenance activities at site and take support from drive and motor workshops if job cannot be performed at site
  • Ensure that all related activities meet legal and ethical compliance requirements and are in accordance with overall company policies & procedures are conducted with employee safety as a priority and are aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.


Qualifications For The Role

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
  • 6-8+ years of experience of related experience
  • Proven track record as service sales engineer for motors & drives services.
  • Background in digital solutions is a plus
  • Previous engagement and customer relationships with major government end-users entities and industrial customers in the region.
  • Strong technical expertise in selling service agreements is a big plus
  • Strong English communication skills are a must
  • Innovative mind and interest to explore new ideas and build strong relationships – excellent networking skills
  • Out-of-the box thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills
