Job Description

A Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for various equipment and systems used by a company or its clients. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. As a Service Engineer, you will be expected to travel frequently to different sites, provide timely assistance, and ensure the equipment functions optimally. Your work will play a critical role in maintaining the operational efficiency and longevity of the systems you manage. In addition to repair and maintenance duties, you will be responsible for conducting regular inspections and suggesting improvements or upgrades to enhance performance. Collaboration with other team members and departments is essential for ensuring that the technical needs of the clients are fully met, and customer satisfaction is achieved.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular maintenance and repair of company and client equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues effectively.
  • Provide on-site support and guidance to clients to enhance equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to suggest upgrades and improvements.
  • Document all service and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
  • Offer technical training and advice to clients and junior engineers.
  • Order necessary parts and supplies to facilitate timely repairs.
  • Develop and implement best practices for service and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards at all times.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through expert technical support.
  • Stay updated on latest technology trends and advancements in engineering.
  • Coordinate with customer service teams to address client concerns swiftly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
  • Proven experience as a Service Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex issues.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to different client sites as needed.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
