Job Description

As a Service Advisor in the automotive industry, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service and technical support to our clients. You will be the primary point of contact between our customers and the service department, responsible for effectively communicating their vehicle concerns to the service technicians. Your expertise in automotive systems and superior communication skills will ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. In addition to providing service advice, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and managing customer repair orders efficiently. This position requires knowledge of automotive systems, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.


Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and courteously upon their arrival at the service center.
  • Accurately diagnose customer concerns and relay these to service technicians.
  • Provide clear and detailed explanations of services and repairs to customers.
  • Prepare service quotes and obtain customer authorization for service work.
  • Schedule repair appointments and manage customer service schedules effectively.
  • Coordinate with parts department to ensure availability of necessary components.
  • Maintain open communication with service technicians regarding work progress.
  • Ensure all customer queries and complaints are addressed swiftly and accurately.
  • Document customer and vehicle information thoroughly in the service database.
  • Upsell additional services and maintenance packages based on vehicle needs.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and obtain feedback.
  • Keep up-to-date with automotive service technology and repair techniques.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and industry standards is essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills with an ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Proficiency in using automotive service software and scheduling tools is necessary.
  • A strong attention to detail is required for accurate service documentation.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
