Job Description

As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary customer-facing representative in an automotive or service-related business. Your role will involve assessing customer needs, coordinating service appointments, and ensuring that each customer receives an outstanding service experience. You will serve as a liaison between the customer and the service technicians, ensuring that the customer is kept informed of their vehicle's status and that all service is performed accurately and efficiently. Your excellent communication skills and technical knowledge will contribute to maintaining high customer satisfaction and loyalty. In this fast-paced environment, you must be adept at managing multiple tasks, from daily administrative activities to customer interactions, ensuring all service operations run smoothly and efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and prioritize their service requests immediately upon arrival.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to identify their automotive service needs.
  • Document and maintain a detailed record of customer service and repair requests.
  • Coordinate with service technicians to allocate tasks and manage workflow efficiently.
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive service estimates for customer approval.
  • Update customers regularly about the status and progress of their service requests.
  • Ensure accurate billing by reviewing completed work with customers before processing payments.
  • Maintain service records and input details accurately into the company database systems.
  • Respond to customer queries and provide follow-up or additional service recommendations.
  • Assist in inventory management, ensuring necessary parts and tools are available.
  • Uphold company standards and ensure compliance with industry safety regulations.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys to gather feedback for service improvements.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, relevant technical background is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role within the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of automotive maintenance, repair procedures, and terminology.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple customer requests efficiently.
  • Proficient in using computer software and customer management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
