The Service Advisor is a key player in the automotive industry, acting as the liaison between the customer and the mechanic. Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate cost estimates for service work to be performed on vehicles.
  • Ensure that customers are kept informed regarding the status of their vehicle repairs.
  • Schedule service appointments while minimizing client wait times for efficiency.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain service records and update them accurately within the system database.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and automotive industry regulations.
  • Conduct post-service follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and receive feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with technicians to understand repairs and time considerations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education is preferred.
  • Proven experience in automotive services or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical terms clearly.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage appointments and records.
  • Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and service management software.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and ability to comprehend service processes.
