About the Job 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Waiter/ess in Social Company to join Zabeel House The Greens.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include: 

• Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and provide information about seating arrangements.
• Explain menu items, including preparation methods and ingredients. Address any inquiries about allergies or dietary restrictions.
• Inform guests about daily specials and promotions not listed on the menu, ensuring they are aware of all available options.
• Verify guests' identification to ensure compliance with legal age requirements for alcohol service, adhering to local laws.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, noting any special requests, and communicate these promptly to the kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food using appropriate techniques, ensuring adherence to established serving standards and handling practices. 

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: 

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in food & beverage service within a 4-star or 5-star hotel, upscale restaurant, luxury resort, or premium dining establishment, including experience in a senior service or team-leading capacity.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, menu offerings, wine and beverage pairing principles, and guest service techniques, with the ability to consistently deliver a high-quality dining experience.
• Proven ability to support and guide junior team members, coordinate service operations during shifts, and ensure smooth restaurant operations while maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests, handle requests and feedback professionally, resolve service-related concerns, and drive revenue through effective recommendations and upselling.
• Good understanding of restaurant cashiering procedures, POS systems, table management, service sequencing, and hygiene and food safety standards, with a commitment to maintaining compliance with company policies and operational procedures.
