The Senior Electrical Tendering Engineer supports project tenders from initial review through final quotation, ensuring maximum Eaton value while meeting project requirements. The role is critical to delivering competitive, profitable bids with clear technical scope and accurate commercial commitments.

This position involves reviewing technical documentation to align Eaton’s solutions, including managing all Comply, Deviate, and Exception (CDE) items. The role is office‑based (hybrid model), requires strong coordination and communication skills, and demands deep expertise in electrical infrastructure and large-scale project environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze incoming customer RFQs and tender documentation.
  • Assess Eaton’s technical fit and capability by identifying applicable products and solutions against customer requirements.
  • Interpret specifications, drawings, and schedules, and manage technical clarifications with customers and internal product owners.
  • Ensure Eaton’s offers are fully aligned with customer specifications, including completion and validation of all Comply, Deviate, and Exception (CDE) documentation.
  • Coordinate with sales, applications, consultants, product owners, and the tender team to develop compelling, high-confidence bids.
  • Support cost preparation using standard tools and processes.
  • Prepare and review technical offer documentation to ensure consistency with the proposed solution and customer requirements.
  • Verify that proposed equipment specifications meet customer needs and project expectations.
  • Manage tender timelines, communicate progress, and highlight risks or constraints to stakeholders.
  • Perform technical risk and opportunity assessments throughout the tender process.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Masters (BSc/MSc) Degree, or Equivalent in a related field (Electrical & Electronic Engineering)
  • Minimum of 7 years of engineering and design experience of electrical distribution systems networks with an Services & Projects business within large scale installation for Commercial & Industrial type projects. Data Center or similar critical power system experience strongly desirable.

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to negotiate and drive alignment on technical designs
  • Customer / people skills
  • Fluent English. Intercultural awareness.
  • A high level of personal integrity and ethics and commitment to "Doing Business Right".
  • Fluent in any of the following European languages : French, Spanish, German or Italian.
