As a Senior Technical Engineer - Campus Networking, you will design, develop, and deliver robust, high-quality IT data solutions that align with business needs and corporate standards. The role will serve as a technical expert and consultant within the technology area, providing guidance to Emirates Group IT (EGIT) teams and ensuring the successful delivery of assigned work packages. By bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, the role will drive innovation, foster high-performing technical teams, and support the adoption of new technologies. This position is critical to ensuring that developed solutions meet service-level expectations in terms of availability, capacity, performance, security, and reliability while adhering to enterprise development standards and methodologies.

In This Role You Will

• Provide expert technical consultancy and guidance to EGIT dealing within the technology area and act as lead technical member in the project team delivering the work packages assigned. Foster the development of high-performing technical teams to meet strategic architectural objectives
• Develop IT Solutions that meet customer requirements. Ensure that the design is robust, appropriate and of high quality and conforming to corporate standards and in line with the technical strategy.
• Ensure that the developed architecture/solution meets the service level requirements in terms of expected availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance and reliability.
• Develop solution architectures for assigned projects with the established EA standards and support the development of technology advancements and adaptation of new technologies.
• Collaborate with other IT Technology teams to implement ongoing monitoring of the relevant technology to ensure level 1 & 2 incidents are configured within EMS.
• Guide Project Manager/Technology team managers for solution definition, technical design and development of in-house developed solutions. These are to be delivered as per agreed costs and timescales to meet signed-off functional, technical and process requirements.
• Ensure that assigned incidents are resolved within the agreed service levels and problems are defined and analysed in line with the Problem Management Process. Ensure that solutions to problems meet the architectural and security standards within the technology area and that impact on the business is minimised. Own and manage changes within the technology area.
• Publish and maintain high-quality documentation and data catalogue for the technology area. Working within the standard templates and documentation guidelines which includes detailed design, configuration details, support procedures, operations manuals and deployments architecture to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and governance across systems.
• Manage the End-of-life replacement of equipment and/or software within the technology area to ensure conformance to technical standards and support the technology initiatives and directions.
• Ensure the process and enhancement specifications are translated into effective programs with error-free code using the enterprise development tools, methods and languages.
  
  

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements: (Campus Networking)

• Degree or Honours (12+3) or equivalent Degree in Information Technology or equivalent with CCIE, CCNP Enterprise or equivalent expert-level certification in Network Technology.
• 5+ Years of Networking experience within Cisco enterprise networking, particularly campus LAN environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL Framework, and Public & Private Cloud platforms.
• Skilled in Layer 2 & 3 Networking across Wired and Wireless Networks, Incl. MAN/WAN/LAN, Routing & Switching, BGP, Azure & AWS, SDWAN, SDN and load balancers.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP, and their use in campus and hybrid environments.
• Demonstrated experience with high-availability and resiliency designs, including HSRP/VRRP, ECMP, LACP, MLAG/vPC, and fast convergence techniques.
• Strong experience with enterprise wireless networking, including design, deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting of high-density environments.
• Solid understanding of RF fundamentals, including site surveys, channel planning, power tuning, roaming optimization, and interference mitigation.
• Experience using Terraform, Python, Ansible, API’s, Git or similar tools to automate infrastructure-as-code alongside CI/CD workflows.
• Proven ability to design and operate large-scale, highly available campus network architectures (core, distribution, access)
• Experience implementing network segmentation and security controls such as 802.1X, NAC, and ACLs.
• Hands‑on experience with 802.1X authentication, Network Access Control (NAC), and integration with enterprise identity systems (e.g., AD, Azure AD, RADIUS, PKI).
• Experience with network monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting tools, including SNMP, NetFlow/IPFIX, telemetry, syslog, and packet capture.
• Ability to produce and maintain technical documentation, including HLDs, LLDs, standards, diagrams, and operational runbooks while working ing complex enterprise environments, collaborating across infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams.
