Senior Talend Developer

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Talend Developer with 5 - 7 years of hands‑on expertise in Talend Open Studio/Talend Big Data and SQL. The role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining robust data integration and ETL pipelines to support enterprise data initiatives. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to build scalable and efficient data workflows while ensuring high performance, data quality, and reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and data integration workflows using Talend Open Studio / Talend Big Data.
• Build and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic for large‑scale datasets.
• Collaborate with data architects and business teams to translate requirements into scalable data integration solutions.
• Develop end‑to‑end ETL jobs including extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, and validation.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and consistency across all integration processes.
• Troubleshoot ETL failures, performance issues, and deployment challenges, ensuring smooth operation in production environments.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of ETL and data integration standards.
• Monitor job schedules, optimize performance, and ensure timely delivery of data to downstream systems.
  
  

• 5 - 7 years of hands‑on experience in Talend Open Studio / Talend Big Data (Must‑Have).
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, joins, aggregations, and transformations (Must‑Have).
• Experience working with large datasets, ETL performance tuning, and error‑handling frameworks.
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL best practices, and data modeling fundamentals.
• Experience in working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional partners.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Good communication skills and ability to interpret technical requirements into working solutions.
