As a Senior Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering marine surveying and consultancy services across offshore energy projects, supporting operations from our Dubai base and the wider region. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that will support offshore attendance during rig moves and marine operations. Working closely with clients, you will also contribute to business development activities and help ensure consistent delivery excellence across all assignments.
What will you be doing?
Conduct a range of marine surveys, including vessel suitability, condition, and marine warranty scopes (e.g. towage, load-in/load-out, stowage, lashing, and securing).
Deliver technically accurate, high-quality reports within agreed timelines, ensuring consistency and robust QA/QC standards.
Support offshore activities, including rig moves and other marine operations as required.
Ensure compliance with ABL procedures, client requirements, and relevant industry standards.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to support efficient and successful project delivery.
Manage project documentation, clearly communicating key findings and updates to stakeholders.
Coordinate with contractors and oversee assigned operational activities.
Contribute to business development by promoting ABL’s services and supporting regional growth initiatives.
Support marketing and visibility activities for the Energy business line.
Uphold and promote Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards.
What are we looking for?
Master Mariner or Chief Officer (STCW II/2) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the marine / offshore industry.
Strong technical knowledge of offshore marine operations, including rig moves, towage, and jack-up activities, with experience in marine warranty surveys and vessel inspections
Solid understanding and practical application of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
Experience working in offshore environments, ideally within the Middle East, GCC, or India.
Effective communicator with strong written and verbal English skills and the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders.
Further Information
This position will be based at our office in Dubai. We can provide relocation and visa support.
The job holder will be expected to undertake onshore and offshore client assignments.
