Job Title: NOC Server Monitoring Specialist

Location: CUSTOMER-Muscat-Muscat

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled NOC Server Monitoring Specialist to join our team in Muscat. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Network Operations Center (NOC) operations, specifically in server monitoring. This role is critical in ensuring the availability and performance of our server infrastructure, providing timely responses to incidents, and maintaining high service levels.

Responsibilities

• Monitor server performance and availability using various monitoring tools.
• Respond to alerts and incidents, performing initial troubleshooting and escalation as necessary.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system to maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve server-related issues and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct regular health checks and performance tuning of server systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
• Assist in the development and implementation of NOC processes and procedures.
• Provide training and support to junior team members as needed.
  
  

• Strong knowledge and experience in NOC operations, specifically server monitoring.
• Proficiency in using monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or similar.
• Experience with incident management and ticketing systems.
• Solid understanding of server operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking concepts.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot server performance issues effectively.
  
  

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
• Certifications in relevant technologies (CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, etc.)
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in NOC operations with a focus on server monitoring.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
