Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for complex applications.
• Collaborate with software developers to understand product requirements and design test scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies thoroughly.
• Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure high-quality software releases.
• Lead and mentor junior QA engineers in testing methodologies and defect tracking.
• Participate in design and specification reviews for early identification of potential issues.
• Conduct compatibility testing across various platforms, browsers, and devices.
• Provide detailed and constructive feedback to developers about software defects.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies during software testing.
• Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and strategies.
• Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and testing technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
• At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing tools and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle and testing processes.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools, such as JIRA or similar.
