Job Description

The Senior Scrum Master plays a pivotal role in guiding agile teams towards successful project completion. This leadership position involves facilitating communication and collaboration among team members in order to maximize efficiency and productivity within the Agile framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile principles and practices, with a proven track record of leading multiple teams and delivering complex projects. They must demonstrate excellent organizational and leadership skills, possess the ability to handle conflicts, and have the technical proficiency to comprehend project details. As a Senior Scrum Master, you will cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and use your expertise to mentor team members and optimize the Scrum process for best outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the Scrum process, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
  • Coordinate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
  • Coach team members in Agile practices and mindset transformation.
  • Identify and remove impediments to team progress and performance.
  • Foster transparent communication and collaboration within and outside the team.
  • Monitor team production metrics and offer actionable insights for improvements.
  • Ensure the team remains focused on sprint goals and project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with product owners to manage backlog and prioritize efficiently.
  • Mentor junior Scrum Masters and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Serve as a change agent to drive organizational Agile adoption.
  • Resolve conflicts and promote a healthy, productive team environment.
  • Assist in decision making by ensuring the team has all necessary information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
  • Proven track record of leading multiple high-performing Scrum teams successfully.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor team members, fostering an Agile cultural shift.
