HSBC’s Global Payments Solutions (GPS) serves as a core service provider to Corporate and Institutional Banking customers. The role holder is responsible for the strategic positioning of GPS as the cornerstone product for Institutional client relationships to drive growth ahead of the market. The role is accountable for establishing a best-in-class GPS proposition for Regional Institutional Client Group (ICG) clients to expand the global wallet and execute revenue opportunities. This role will focus primarily on Fintech clients and cover Hedge Funds and Asset Managers.
In This Role, You Will
Work with key stakeholders from across the bank to develop and execute the sales strategy for Fintech clients across the MENAT region. Additionally, be responsible for executing the strategy for Hedge Funds and Asset Management
Drive broader support for the Fintech sector strategy, including participation in events, case studies, client testimonials, client planning and wallet sizing activities
Proactively collaborate with global and regional sales leads to develop a pipeline that is coordinated with coverage bankers and prioritized according to opportunity and value to HSBC
Be accountable for driving and delivering revenue growth from GPS solutions for ICG clients globally
Be the connection between the specific needs of ICG clients and the GPS product development to evaluate solutions and propositions considering the whole global network to bring the most amount of value to the client
Proactively originate, lead and drive GPS opportunities and discussions across the ICG industry segments across MENAT and in the UAE in coordination with other GPS franchises across the region and globally
Enhance GPS Sales’ consistency and coordination across ICG, in close alignment with global efforts to boost focus and drive revenue growth
Champion digitization to enable HSBC to meet the needs of ICG clients through consistent digital channels requiring minimal service requirements
Monitor customer feedback to drive initiatives to deliver an exceptional customer experience across the ICG network utilising expertise from all of HSBC
Be a subject matter expert to identify market trends and future opportunities of significant potential for ICG and GPS, which includes supporting and/or running with responses to RFPs
Deepen customer relationships through championing business co-operation with key stakeholders across HSBC and ensure strong networks with key external stakeholders
Maintain and observe all HSBC control standards and implement and observe the Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators
Foster a compliance culture. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business must comply
Proactively develop and execute risk mitigation measures to protect the Bank and its customers from all regulatory, compliance and service issues
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Strong experience in Global Payments Solutions and managing complex deals. A proven track record of delivering high impact results in relation to Sales strategy, execution, and sector initiatives.
Excellent networking with ability to build and maintain influential relationships with senior-level executives at large, complex organizations.
Ability to demonstrate high levels of resilience, delivering under pressure to tight deadlines in a change oriented, fast paced environment.
Adopts an inclusive approach, values diversity of thought and continually seeks new perspectives and feedback.
Excellent communication presentation and influencing skills both oral and written.
Strong understanding of the market, trends, competitive environment, and regulatory environment.
Having experience in dealing with FinTech, Hedge Funds and Asset Managers will be an added benefit.
Strong ability to bring new ideas to drive growth and sales intensity.
A graduation degree is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. If your university certificate is from outside the UAE, up-to-date attestations and equivalency are also mandatory (Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications Issued Outside The UAE)
