Client Relationship Management

Develop and maintain strong relationships with SME clients, understanding their trade cycles and working capital requirements.

Analyze clients’ cash flow cycles and recommend working capital optimization strategies

Manage and expand a portfolio of SME clients to achieve annual business targets.

Conduct in-depth analysis of clients' business models and financial requirements to provide tailored banking solutions.

Portfolio Growth & Cross-Selling

Identify opportunities to cross-sell SME banking solutions including POS Lending, Asset-Backed Lending, Supply Chain Finance, and Cash Management.

Drive revenue generation while upholding strong credit quality standards.

Credit & Risk Management

Prepare comprehensive credit proposals with detailed financial and risk analyses.

Monitor portfolio performance, identify early warning signs, and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

Ensure timely renewal and restructuring of credit facilities in line with internal and regulatory policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Service Excellence

Partner with internal teams (Credit, Operations, Compliance) to deliver seamless service execution.

Address and resolve client queries promptly to maintain high satisfaction and retention levels.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of SME clients, building strong relationships and understanding their financial goals and challenges.
  • Offer tailored trade finance solutions, including letters of credit, bank guarantees, and supply chain financing, to optimize client liquidity and operational efficiency.
  • Cross-sell and up-sell bank products and services to existing and potential clients, expanding the bank's market share and profitability.
  • Conduct thorough credit risk assessments and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations to maintain a healthy portfolio.
  • Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to provide insightful advice and solutions to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including credit, operations, and product specialists, to deliver seamless and efficient service to clients.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on portfolio performance, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand the bank's network and identify potential new clients.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards, ensuring client confidentiality and trust.
  • Continuously develop your skills and knowledge to stay ahead of the curve in the dynamic world of trade finance.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is required, with a preference for a master's degree or professional certifications.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in relationship management, with a proven track record of managing and growing an SME client portfolio.
  • In-depth knowledge of trade finance products, including letters of credit, bank guarantees, and supply chain financing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess credit risk.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric approach and a track record of building long-lasting relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and results-driven mindset, with a focus on achieving sales targets and maintaining a healthy portfolio.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in Arabic being an added advantage.
  • A strong network and understanding of the business landscape in Sharjah and the Northern Emirates is highly desirable.
