Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the management of all costs relating to our various building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will seek to enhance value for money while still achieving the required standards and quality. This includes ensuring that financial and contractual control of projects is maintained, along with providing advice on contractual claims. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of quantity surveying practices, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency in project management software. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to significantly impact high-profile projects and contribute to our growth.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze contracts and negotiate the best terms for the company.
  • Prepare, manage, and negotiate variation orders efficiently and effectively.
  • Review and certify contractors' monthly payment requests and invoices.
  • Conduct cost analysis and financial risk predictions of assigned projects.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes resolution strategies.
  • Prepare and present reports on project cost performance to management.
  • Ensure timely completion of required post-construction financial audits.
  • Manage projects’ cash flow to ensure continuous financial health.
  • Collaborate with project managers to align financial planning with project objectives.
  • Develop processes for efficient procurement and tendering activities.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and quality standards in projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in quantity surveying.
  • Proven track record of managing large and complex projects successfully.
  • Advanced knowledge of quantity surveying software and financial modeling tools.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
  • Strong understanding of construction contract laws and regulations.
