Join HSBC Global Payments Solutions (GPS) as a Senior Project Manager within our Client Connectivity team. You’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing client experience and driving growth by leading seamless onboarding and integration of clients on to our advanced Global Payments and Liquidity Solutions.

The Role

This role is responsible for managing complex payments and liquidity projects for top-tier clients, ensuring technical solutions align with business objectives and deliver robust, scalable, and efficient outcomes.

You’ll shape both global and local client relationships, oversee smooth transitions onto our digital channels, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and manage multiple complex projects to on-board top-tier clients to HSBC Digital Channels (HSBCnet, Treasury API, H2H and SwiftNet)
  • Effectively manage to a successful completion a varied portfolio of complex, global client projects, including piloting new products/services offered by GPS.
  • Drive project timelines to achieve optimal time to revenue and proactively identify and manage the resolution of any blockers that may affect a successful project delivery to maintain a best-in-class client experience.
  • Take ownership of client relationships post-sales, leading effective communication with clients and senior stakeholders across multiple regions throughout the project lifecycle and beyond.
  • Support pre-mandate and RFI/RFP requests, providing technical expertise to develop appropriate solutions and proposals, utilizing your deep SME knowledge of Payments, Liquidity, ERP, and Regulatory Solutions
  • Contribute to technical client workshops to understand and support business automation goals
  • Streamline documentation processes using tools like GDOCs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our Net Promoter Score, providing valuable feedback to Product to improve client experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to optimize internal processes and project delivery
  • Keep on top of industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes in payment regulations
  • Drive the strategic priorities of the GPS business.

In order to apply for this role , you will ideally have the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree (required for UAE Work Permit eligibility).
  • Significant experience in a lead project management capacity, specifically within banking payments solutions.
  • Strong client-facing expertise, with advanced stakeholder management skills and a proven ability to tailor technical solutions and deliver high-quality client service.
  • In depth knowledge payments, liquidity management, ERP/TMS platforms, industry-standard formats (including ISO 20022), and digital channels.
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects within the payments industry.
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities, adaptable to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A strong commercial mindset with a record of delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Proven experience in driving strategic initiatives and fostering continuous improvement.

Languages

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; Mandarin language skills are advantageous.
